Rules of Quran Recitation
Course Overview
This course introduces beginners to the rudimentary elements of tajwid. It will ensure that students are able to recite the last ten surahs of the Quran correctly and able to apply its rules throughout the Holy Scripture.
Tajwid can be described as the discipline that promotes the beautification of Quranic recitation. At a basic level, tajwid is about meticulousness. It is to recite the Quran as it was revealed, to articulate its letters and pronounce its words in a manner that has been taught and transmitted throughout the centuries from the Prophet (peace be upon him) onwards. It is an essential aspect of preserving and reciting the Quran.
